ScoreMate ("we", "us", "our") is a web-based golf scoring application for social golf groups, operated by Anthony Mondello, Sydney NSW, Australia. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the ScoreMate website at scoremate.golf and all related services.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use ScoreMate. By using our service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental or guardian consent to use the service.
By joining the ScoreMate waitlist, you agree to receive email communications from us about our launch, product updates and relevant news. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We will not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
You agree to use ScoreMate only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
ScoreMate provides golf scoring tools including Stableford calculations, stroke play scoring and WHS Handicap Index suggestions for convenience and entertainment purposes within social golf groups.
ScoreMate's handicap suggestions are estimates only and are not endorsed by or affiliated with Golf Australia, the R&A, the USGA, or any official handicapping body. They should not be used for official competitions or tournament play. For official handicap purposes, please use an authorised golf handicapping service.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to ScoreMate (including scores, player names and group information). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to your group.
You are responsible for ensuring any content you submit does not infringe the rights of third parties.
Once ScoreMate launches, paid plans will be offered. The following terms will apply:
All content on the ScoreMate website — including our name, logo, design, text and code — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our express written permission.
ScoreMate is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or other harmful components.
We are not responsible for the accuracy of scores entered by users, or for any disputes between group members arising from scoring results.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScoreMate and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ScoreMate at any time if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other users or our service. Where possible, we will give you notice before doing so.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of ScoreMate after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
